Dear Hoyt, Patrick, Al, and David,

When as family we decided to close our 145 year family furniture store we had no idea where to go for help to pull off this event and do it with professionalism and integrity.

With a recommendation from one of our factory reps, we called HH&A. Instant, personal connections were made by telephone, not mail, not email..but personal contact. This contact was Mr. Al Carrothers.

Our initial phone conversation took place in Fevruary of 2009. I told Al about our organization being all family and a five-generation business and that Simonet is the oldest family owned and operated furniture store in the USA being established in 1864. Al was informed that the continuing economy was the major factor in our decision to close and that I would get back to him after our board meeting to fo to the next level of involvement.

I did call two other similar operations as due diligence and reported to our board, my family, that HH&A stood out as the type of people we would be comfortable turning our pride and joy over to conduct a "GOING OUT OF BUSINESS SALE". The board went along with my assessment and we unanimously voted to reconnect with HH&A.

In a conference call with Hoyt Highfill, Hoyt introduced Patrick his grandson. In this conversation we established our relationship and that Al Carrothers would be on a flight to meet with my family personally. Upon Al's arrival at our store, Al answered honestly every question we tossed out. What stood out to me, as the biggest challenge for our proud family, was the ability to agree that we would turn our operation over and let HH&A do their job. We agreed and I have never looked back.

Our new manager was David Voss. David could not have been a better fit. David has a warm way of commanding respect and although there were a few challenges to his style, we reminded ourselves that we hired HH&A to do a job and that their expertise was to be trusted. David brought in and took responsibility for the sales help, warehouse operations, advertising, and personnel. David and I co-signed on all expenditures and when I was in doubt, which wasn't all that often, discussions took place and we moved forward with mutual compromise.

David and HH&A proceeded to sell over 2.5 million dollars worth of furniture in 90 days!! We exceeded our estimate by over 1 million dollars. Simonet was able to retire all operating loans, pay all operating costs during the sale and come out with cash. We could not be any happier.

It is from personal that I would recommend HH&A to you. Often times we are "sold" on the ability of a company to perform the task that they are hired to do and questionable results happen. With HH&A you get what they say and they do what they say.

WOW!! We just finished the Stock Reduction - Cash Raising Sale conducted by your company. They are truly professional in their approach. We did much more than even projected and we are certainly pleased with the results.

Signing on with HH&A for such an event is for many dealers, a trip into the unknown and as such one harbors a certain number of fears and misgivings. However, we did find out there were hundreds of new customers out there and hundreds of people ready to spend serious money if only motivated to do so.

A big thank you to your organization for the biggest and most successful promotion in our 44 year history.
